Meet the TESFA Team
TESFA Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the governing body of TESFA Refugees with Disabilities Association. It is democratically elected by the General Assembly, ensuring that the leadership truly represents the voices and aspirations of refugees with disabilities.
As an RLO, TESFA believes that effective leadership is built not only on educational qualifications but also on integrity, lived experience, commitment to service, compassion, and the confidence of the community.
Most members of the Board are refugees with disabilities who have personally experienced displacement, discrimination, and the challenges of living with disabilities. Their lived experiences enable them to understand the needs of members, advocate for their rights, and guide the Association with empathy and commitment.

TESFA Participates in UNHCR Training on SGBV Prevention and Protection
On 28 August 2026, representatives of TESFA Refugees with Disabilities Association participated in a training session organized by UNHCR on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) prevention, protection, and referral pathways.
The training strengthened participants’ understanding of preventing and reducing the risks of violence, providing survivor-centered support, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring appropriate referrals to protection and support services.
TESFA values such capacity-building opportunities, which contribute to creating safer, more inclusive, and protective environments for refugees with disabilities and the wider community.
We sincerely thank UNHCR for organizing this important and informative training.
